finally!

a few little birds were asking when we would be getting in more feather earrings. genevieve, myrtle and pearls, finally found some time to sit at home and make a bunch of earrings for the store.

kitten day!

since we have charlie and stella coming in to play at nokomis weekly, i thought that maybe some kitten time would be a good balance. ginger, my street-savvy (though exclusively indoor) kitten has joined me at work today. she wasn't too thrilled this morning about it (maybe she missed simone, her best pal, who was left at home) but she has warmed up and has even had a few visits to the window to watch all the people on the avenue. i have a feeling today is going to be one of those purr-fect summer days!

Summer Markdowns

We started to markdown spring/summer stock! Styles by Dace, Jude, Bodybag, Preloved, Dagg & Stacey, Allison Wonderland, Grace & Cello, and Nokomis too, have been reduced by 20-30%. But I'm not telling you which ones, so you're just going to have to stop by to check it out! Come by before all the deals are gone, they don't happen often around here.

Dog Days

We have puppies in the store again! Charlie, Tara's blueheeler, hangs out with us on Tuesdays, and we puppy sit Miranda's puppy, Stella, a border collie and australian shepherd mix (though i personally see saint bernard), on Thursdays. So if you are looking for a cutetown fix, stop by!

It's Nearly Time!

Well, the weather report is forecasting rain, rain and more rain just in time for our big garage sale but don't let that discourage you. We borrowed a tarp from my mom and plan to rig up something so no one gets unnecessarily soaked, though I think Jessica's neice may have to sell hot cocoa instead of lemonade. Yes, the show will go on.

So friends, bring your umbrellas, bring yourselves and come on down to our garage sale starting tomorrow (Friday) at noon. We only do this every couple of years so make sure you don't miss out.

Garage Sale!

It's that time again! Come on over to my mom's house and check out the super deals! The sale is from 12-7pm on Friday and 10-4pm on Saturday. Items start at $5 and include Nokomis samples, silkscreen misprints, american apparel stock, and tons of dresses, tops, coats, skirts and other goodies. There are even sweet deals for boys too!

The Garage Sale is just east of 109 Street, behind the Movie Studio, between 86th & 87th Ave. See map below. This is a cash only event, so be prepared! And may I suggest that you wear something that you can easily slip clothes over top of?

I'm hoping my niece will be selling lemonade on Saturday, so let's all pray for sunshine!
